Thank-you all for participating in Saturday's meeting.

As stated, the objective(s) of the meeting were to obtain some feedback and consensus on the purpose, or goals of staging the event, and to get some ideas flowing regarding the nature or type of the event we want to hold.

I believe it was a productive meeting, with valuable contributions by all who attended, and there is clear consensus on the following: 

One of the fundamental goals of Heritage Day is to create an opportunity for children in the community to have a shared experience by their participation in a cultural program reflective of our Indian heritage. 

To create cultural awareness, and to provide exposure (in an inclusive manner) to the wider Kingston community.

To stage an event that is well planned, promoted and executed.

I have tentatively scheduled the next meeting for Wednesday November 4th at 8pm - The purpose of this meeting is to assign roles & responsibilities and to begin event specific planning. (if anybody cannot make it for this date, please let me know as soon as possible).

During the 3 weeks prior to our next meeting, Vipin & I will be meeting with the Grand Theater to obtain full details of what is possible. Those  of you who have expressed interest/knowledge of possible items for the show - please proceed with getting more details so as to ensure that our next meeting is as productive.
